Historical Zululand Region
Not to be confused with the modern-day Zululand District Municipality (DC26), which is 1 of the 11 districts in the KwaZulu Natal Province.
Zululand is depicted to extend along the east coast of Natal, North of the Tugela River and South of the Pongola River as can be seen from the image below.
2010 FIFA World Cup, what did it mean for South Africa?
I don’t think we will get a clear answer as to how South Africa actually has and will benefit in the long-term. Politicians will paint it as a glorious triumph to justify their next Mercedes MLK650.
I heard either fantastic reports from businesses or the opposite. Did it assist in narrowing the gap between the poor and wealthy, don’t think so, fat cats get fat off the poor.

I had a query recently from Liezel about where Gqoki Hill was. I tried to locate it for her but couldn’t which I let her know. I more recently have come across it referenced as the Battle of Gqokli Hill.
